Size Chart and Measuring for Wool Products
For best fit, take all measurements with baby wearing your biggest bulkiest diaper you will want to use with the cover.
If you prefer a roomier fit and near the end of one size, please size up.
The approximate ages are also hugely variable, since babies (and diapers) come in many sizes. Are you using a thinner day-time diaper, or heavy wetter night-time diaper? These all affect the sizing.
If you have any questions, join our Chat group and BST to talk to real parents using HumBird and see fit on real babies!
WAIST: Measure all the way around, above the diaper. (not on the diaper) To get a good fit on the waist fit the stretch of the wool is 30%.
THIGHS: Measure all the way around the thigh at its largest point.
INSEAM: Measure the inner leg from the lowest point of the diaper to the bottom of the ankle.
RISE: Measure from back top of the diaper, through the legs, to top front of the diaper and add 1 to 2 inches (this will be sure that the cover completely covers the diaper).
HIP: Hip is measured at the widest point all th way aroundjust above the crotch. Measure the circumference.
MEASUREMENTS: thigh measurements are taken approximately 1” to 3/4" below crotch seam and ankle measurements are taken 1/2” above ankle hem. Measurements are taken from the paper pattern and can vary by approximately 1/2" to measuring on the wool. Measurements made on the pattern are more accurate.
Measurements in Inches
Measurements are measured flat and un-stretched unless they are range measurements. Capris are 2/3 of length.
For capris multiply the inseam by 2 and divide the total by 3. For example... Small capri leggings 8" x 2 = 16, 16/3 = 5 1/3" So, inseam would be approx. 5 1/3".
